In Drake's hometown, Russell Westbrook went back to back.The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard was named the All-Star Game MVP for the second straight year after scoring a team-high 31 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists in the Western Conference's 196-173 win over the Eastern Conference in Toronto on Sunday.Westbrook became the first back-to-back MVP of the All-Star Game since Bob Pettit did it in 1958 and 1959, per NBA.com.Westbrook was one of nine West All-Stars to score in double figures. He topped Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry(26) and New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis (24) for the team high in points. Westbrook also hit seven of his 17 three-point attempts.It wasn't just Westbrook's three-point shooting that was on display Sunday night in the Air Canada Centre. His highlight dunks were on display as well, like this one, per the NBA: The Thunder also tweeted this picture in honor of their MVP:Westbrook was the no-doubt choice for MVP last year after scoring 41 points, falling one point shy of Wilt Chamberlain's record of 42 points set in 1962. Indiana Pacers star Paul George scored 41 points on Sunday for the East, and he would have been a worthy MVP choice if the score were closer.After Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine won the Slam Dunk Contest for a second year in a row on Saturday, it was another banner weekend for UCLA alumni, per Chris Martin Palmer of Bleacher Report:Westbrook made a late charge to secure the MVP trophy. He scored 23 of his points in the second half while making all seven of his threes in the final 24 minutes.NBA Canada also shared this picture of Westbrook with his teammate, Kevin Durant, celebrating at the podium:With the way the Western Conference played on Sunday, anyone could've been MVP on that team. But Westbrook made the biggest scoring impact in the second half, turning a 92-90 West halftime lead into a 23-point win.
