4 suicide bombers target market, school in Cameroon, kill 20

YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AP) ' A Cameroon governor says two suicide bombers hit a market in the north Cameroon village of Meme, killing at least 20 people, and two others targeted a school in a nearby town.Far north governor Midjiyawa Bakari says 70 people were wounded Friday and have been taken to a hospital in the town of Tokombere, some in critical condition. He said the attackers disguised themselves as food vendors in the market.A teacher at the government school in Tokombere, Mamoudou Gonit, said the attackers detonated their explosives in the bush about 1 kilometer (1 mile) from the school after they were identified.Attacks across Nigeria's borders increased by Boko Haram extremists last year in countries, such as Cameroon, contributing to a multinational force to wipe out Boko Haram.Join the conversation about this story
