We Reimagined North Korea's New 'Motivational' Slogans As Inspirational Instagram Quotes

The only way to even begin to understand Kim Jong-un's new slogans for North Korea is by imagining them as motivational quotes youd find on Instagram. For its upcoming Workers' Party congress, the first in 36 years, the Hermit Kingdom coined375 new slogans to inspire its people. They range from slightly frightening to totally nonsensical, and include phrases promoting greenhouse vegetable production, backing state-sanctioned pop groups and turning the whole country into a fortress. But can a sayingreallybe inspirational if it's not rendered in an ugly font over a stock photo of a sunset on a beach' We think not. So we took a few of these slogans and turned them into something your annoying friends might be more willing to share on Instagram. It's really too bad that most North Koreans can't access the web.
