Oye-Ekiti people receive dividends of democracy

For dividends of democracy to get to the door step of people of Ekiti State, there is the need for the people of the state to give maximum support to the governor of the state, Dr Kayode Fayemi, because it is natural for an individual to do more if he discovers that majority of his people are with him and ready to give him their support on regular basis.This advice was given by the chairman, Care-taker Committee of Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Honourable Akindele Ogungbuyi.The caretaker chariman told the people of his council area to allow this statement to be their guide, while distributing  spray pumps to farmers of the area recently. He charged the community dwellers that it was only when there was peace and harmony that more dividends of democracy could get to them, stressing that development could only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere.He also used the occasion to enumerate some of the achievements of his administration which included the distribution of instructional materials to schools, reduction of school fees, as well as increase of workers salaries.Hon. Ogungbuyi also promised to provide required chemicals for farmers in due course. He further told his people that Governor Fayemi had sent him to the local government to better the lots of the people, pledging that he would never relent in the task of providing dividends of democracy to the people of the community.
