NYSC members mentor secondary students

THE National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Lagos, as part of their Community Development requirements, recently organized an orientation on leadership skills for secondary school students in the state.The program consists of best and selected secondary school students in Lagos state.The initiative is aimed at engendering a generation that would foster community development, promote national pride. Plans are also underway to establish Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) clubs in secondary schools, to make students agent of change and community developers.The project director of the group, Olukoya Afolabi emphasized that while there were many Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) focusing on the youths out there, many teeagers are still being left behind.
