Rep donates classrooms, books to schools

A member of the House of Representatives, representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Bunu, has donated blocks of classrooms to Junior Secondary School, Kotorkoshi, in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.Presenting the books and handing over the project which consisted of a block of three classrooms equipped with furniture and a toilet, the lawmaker said he conceived and executed the project as part of his conscituency projects aimed at improving the educational development of the people of the area.Similarly, the lawmaker donated 10,000 exercise books to be distributed to secondary schools in the two local government areas that make up his constituency.As you are very much aware, I always give priority attention to the development of education because of the firm conviction I hold that it is the vital key to the development of our society. If you may recall, I earlier donated sets of computers at the internet centre I established at Dan Sakkwato Model Primary School, Bungudu, all in an effort to improve science and technology education among our children, he said.He said he had ,within the last couple of years, constructed and donated one block of three classrooms equipped with furniture and a toilet at the Junior Secondary School, Bungudu, and also donated school furniture to Junior Secondary School, Dansadau, as well as renovating one classroom and providing furniture, computer and internet facilities at Usman Dangwaggo Secondary School, Bungudu.
