She is the Executive Director of CSR-in-Action (CiA), a non-governmental and non-profit interactive network for corporatesocial responsibilityreporting in Nigeria, with a clear vision topromotecorporate social responsibility in Nigeria. Though Bekeme didn't win the Apprentice Africa reality show, she was optimistic that she was going to make more money than the winner, when she was evicted. She tells DANIEL ANAZIA what fashion is to her. What's your definition of fashion'It is dressing in a way that suits and depicts your personality. It's an individual thing; I don't wear stuffs because it's in vogue, but for the comfort and the expression of my personality.Uniqueness of styleMy style is a representation of my being; it is not a run-off-the- mill; and goes beyond description. I look at my body type and mood before picking up anything to wear.Favourite colour Red because it is vibrant, but I'm doing more earth tones now.Favourite designer(s)Deola Sagoe and Channel. They are superb with their cuts. Favourite piece of clothing I have a knack for cigarette pants and skinny jeans. Whenever I wear them, I look chic even after two kids! Most expensive fashion piece It's my Franco Nellie bag. I bought it in Dubai while on transit to the Maldives. I can't remember the cost, but it's a fortune in Naira equivalent. What would you not be caught wearing'You can't see me in open-toe sandals, I don't like my feet in them. What would you consider as fashion faux pax'Dressing inappropriately for an event or wearing what is not comfortable. Every occasion has its dress code. For example, wearing a club dress for a dinner event is off it. How often do you improve on your wardrobe' Very often, I buy things as I go along. I don't usually buy things that I don't need; I buy clothes that are multi-purpose in nature.Favourite signature perfumeIt was Kenzo by Givenchy, but I recently found Si Nolita. It has a unique scent and it's not terribly subtle or offensive. What would you consider sexy in both men and women'I love a man when he is cool and gentle; a man who doesn't feel that a lady can't live without him. For the woman, she must be elegant and self-confident. Secret of your good look I always feel young at heart everyday and don't use cream that will damage my skin. I rarely make-up because I believe having it simple or natural makes you more beautiful. Favourite foodGive me any fried food, especially fried plantain served with snail. Likes I like people who are positive-minded and easily adapt to changes.DislikesI detest people who are dependent and lack self-confidence. Craziest thing ever done I do a lot of mischievous things, especially with my sisters. I tease people a lot, but I'm always conscious of the repercussion.Philosophy of life'I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me, Phillipian 4: 19,' which is my favourite Bible passage. What would you like to change in Nigeria, if given the opportunity'The inefficiency in our system; anybody that is performing below expectation will be showed the exit door.
