What Is Huffington Post Highline

Published by Huffington Post on Tue, 08 Mar 2016

It's a new digital home for an old journalistic tradition. Think of it as a magazine that only runs cover stories'big, ambitious pieces intended to change the way you see the world or influence the course of policy. Investigations will take months, essays will be finely considered, the subjects we choose to write about will feel urgent and essential. At the same time, we'll be experimenting with the many tools that become available when no paper or staples are involved. Our goal is as straightforward as it is difficult: We want to publish stories that stay with you. Now, what kind of subjects will we focus on' We're not a publication dedicated solely to business or tech or sports or science or politics or Papua New Guinea'but we'll write about all those things at one point or another. In just the first few months, we're planning to run an ISIS piece unlike any you've ever read, an exchange about feminism and the Internet between two of the world's best authors, and the first installment of a multi-part series blowing open one of America's most important, worst regulated industries. And we'll do everything we can to make those stories count. We want each piece to set off a discussion, a debate, an unholy uproar, advanced by Huffington Post reporters and bloggers across 13 international editions. And by you, of course. So don't hold back. Let us know what you think about each story'you can have it delivered straight to your inbox by subscribing to the newsletter below 'and then come back the next week, and the week after that. You're only imperiling the future of longform journalism if you don't. -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. It may be used for personal consumption, but may not be distributed on a website.
