Ilorin: Community leader donates 26 bags of rice

A Community Leader in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Issa Nuhu Funsho, has donated 26 bags of rice to members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 12 wards of the area.According to the donor, the gesture was to complement the efforts of the state's party leader, Senator Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, at giving succour to the people during the coming Ramadan.He also said that the Holy month of Ramadan calls for sober reflection and kindness to the less privileged.Giving the breakdown of how the food stuff would be distributed, Issa explained that two bags would go to each of the 12 wards, while the council party Central Working Committee (CWC) and members of the executive would share two bags, one each.He said the gesture was also meant to earn the blessings of God here on earth and the hereafter, adding that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) preached kindness to fellow human beings in the month of Ramadan and even beyond.Also speaking, the council PDP Chairman, Alhaji Moyoshore Ayoku, thanked the donor for the gesture, praying God to reward him in many folds.Moyoshore also pledged to ensure proper distribution of the food stuff to the beneficiaries.
