EL Kanemi Warriors want a close monitoring of the last two Federation Cup games in Lagos amidst match fixing allegations.El Kanemi is second with four points in the Lagos group, Crown is third on two points, while Kwara is yet to earn any points after two rounds of matches in the group phase of the cup competition.Today, El Kanemi take on leaders Kano Pillars, while Crown battles Kwara to determine the two qualifiers for the quarterfinals.El Kanemi chairman Mohammed Zana alleged that one of the clubs has agreed to throw its game away."Football should not be a do or die affair. It has reached us that everything is being done for one of the teams to go past the group stage should our game against Pillars ends in a draw,' Zana alleged.'In every rumour, there is always an element of truth in it. I am therefore calling on the organisers of the Federation Cup to monitor the last games to guard against such."However, Kwara United media officer, Olusola Ajide Olayioye insisted that there is no truth in the rumour as losing the third match may incur the wrath of Governor on the team, who has done his best to motivate the team."It is a mere rumour, it is not true. It is true that we are out of the competition after losing the first two games, but we have pride to play for,' he dismissed.'In fact we are condemned to win the third game because our state Governor is not happy with our performance, so too our fans. So, we have to win the game against Crown Friday to regain their confidence. 'To lose to Crown would be devastating as it can incur Governor's wrath because he has supported the team and motivated the players enough to do well. We are going for an outright victory on Friday."
