NOC marketer unveils plans for WAZOBIA lounge

THE official marketer to the Nigeria Olympic Committee on (NOC) the London 2012 Olympic Games, IMPC Limited has unveiled its activities for the Nigerian Stand code name, WAZOBIA Lounge situated within the African Village.The Wazobia Lounge which also doubles as NOC games park will be open to the general public on July 27 will attract different form of activities.According to Chief Executive Officer, IMPC, Goke Dokun while making the presentation yesterday at the NOC boardroom, July 30 has been fixed as Nigeria National Day,while July 31 is fixed for Trade and Investment Forun and Trade Exhibition, just as August 2, 3,6 and 7 have been slated for States exhibition days.He also informed that August 8 had been slated for photo story about Nigeria and it will be anchored by Alhaji Baba Shetima and tourism showcase slated for August 5 with August 1 fixed for National Costume day for all Nigerians to be dressed in national attires.According to him, there will be an art exhibition by Chinwe Chukwuogo Roy and also National Art Gallery will display the culture of the country as well stage play title Labalaba.Dokun,who explained that the Wazobia Lounge was to showcase the positive image of the country and will also have in attendance non stop entertainment from notable Nigerian musical acts, Omowunmi, Eldee, Wale Gates among others.In his speech at the ceremony, Patrick Ukah, chairman, marketing committee of the NOC having commended the company for the project said the NOC is fully in support of the Wazobia Lounge and urged all Nigerians to visit the games park in order to feel more at home, adding that the committee is optimistic that the Team Nigeria will not disappoint Nigerians at the games.He thus expressed appreciation to all their sponsors for making Team Nigeria what it is and at the same call for support from other corporate bodies.
