Prime sends Enyimba packing

OSOGBO based club Prime FC continued its good run in the 2012 Federation Cup with a shocking 2-0 win over last year's finallist, Enyimba FC of Aba in a match played at the Lekan Salami Stadium.In a manner similar to that of Arugo FC which against all odds got to the semi final of the 1999 edition, Prime tutored by ex international Ademola Adeshina created yet another upset by making it to the last four of the competition at the expense of the highly rated Aba Millionaires.A goal in each half of the enccounter was all the Osun State FA Cup champions needed to send the tournament favourite; Peoples Elephants out of the country's most glamourous competition.Cheered by a vociferous crowd, Prime which had earlier beaten Rangers at the group stage where it also forced Sharks to a 1-1 draw humiliated the former African champions handled by ex international Austin Eguavoen who have their stars to thank for not even conceeding more goals.While Prime picked a ticket to the semi final, Crown FC of Ogbomoso was not that lucky as the team crumbled 0-2 to cup holders Heartland in Port Harcourt.
