LOC showcases benefits of Eko 2012 to corporate bodies

Published by Guardian on Wed, 25 Jul 2012

AIMING to involve corporate bodies in the staging of Eko 2012 National Sports Festival, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) yesterday unveiled the marketing and sponsorship opportunities that abound in the sports fiesta.Speaking at the media briefing organised by the LOC Marketing and Sponsorship Sub-committee, Deputy Governor of Lagos State and LOC Chairman, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, said the event was one of the steps to sensitize the corporate bodies of the investment opportunities in the multi-sports tournament.'Let me say without any fear of contradiction that Eko 2012 Games offers a life-time opportunity not only for producing talents and cementing the bond of our national brotherhood and friendship as a people but also for our corporate citizens to benefit immensely from the various sponsorship platforms available,' she said. She emphasized that many windows of opportunities were open to the organised private sector, adding: 'This is in line with our philosophy on public-private partnership to drive the wheel of service delivery.'On behalf of the LOC, I have the pleasure and honour to hereby announce that Eko 2012 is open to corporate sponsorship and partnership and we are assuring our sponsors and partners that this is a win-win partnership.'Among the available opportunities, she said, were the principal and associate partners for corporate bodies. And while Alliance Autos Limited has already donated five vehicles to the LOC, Orelope-Adefulire charged other companies to take a cue from the auto firm and identify with the festival.
