Chelsea makes fresh 9m bid for Victor Moses

CHELSEA has lodged a new bid for Wigan and Nigerian international, Victor Moses that could be worth up to 9 million.Wigan has rejected three lower offers, which have also included taking Josh McEachran or Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.Moses, 21, has one year left on his contract and is valued at more than 10 million by chairman Dave Whelan, who is interested only in a cash deal.It is understood that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement, with Chelsea prepared to pay 6 million up front and another 3 million in perfortmance-related add-ons.Chelsea has bid for a number of attacking players over the summer, including, Hulk, Willian, Andre Schurrie and Robert Lewandowski, but Moses appeals to the Blues and the added fact is that he will also qualify as a home-grown player for the Champions League.Tribunesports recalls that Moses scored seven goals for Wigan last season and helped the Latics to maintain their Premiership status.Chelsea coach, Roberto Dominic di Matteo fancies the capture of Moses in view of the versatility and youthfulness of the Nigerian international.
