London 2012: Nigeria ll be ruthless -Ndanusa

THE Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) hasvowed to wield the big stick onathletes involved in drug abuse ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Engineer Sani Ndanusa, said yesterday at the conference hall of the NOC secretariatthat any athlete found guilty would be severely dealt with.According to Ndanusa, the NOC will conduct drug test on the athleteswhile in camp in Surreys in London and that any of the athletes found guilty will be sent packing from the camp immediately.He added that while on the home front, such offender will face adisciplinary committee.We will not hesitate to deal with any athlete found guilty (of dope), we shall deal with the coach and even the chairman of the affectedsports association will not be spared because; they are expected to educate their athletes on the need to stay away from drug. We do not want anybody to drag the name of the country into disrepute, he said.
