YUGUDA AND SLAIN CORPS MEMBERS

Published by Tribune on Fri, 06 May 2011

THE re-elected governor of Bauchi State, one of the states in the North where hell was let loose recently, Mallam Isa Yuguda had some kind words for the bereaved families of the slain corps members who were victims of a bestial and meaningless rage in his state. It was their fate, he reportedly swore. After all, he too  lost a house to the list. And when it came down to that, didnt he too suffer the same fate while he was serving in the SouthIN saner climes, Isa Yuguda would have been made to pay for that statement at the polls but then... Mallam Isa Yuguda did not come out clearly enough. Was he slain when he was serving in the South and then he came back to life to become governor eventually What exactly did he mean when he said he suffered a similar fate while he was serving in the South Were the beasts who perpetrated the brutal killings avenging what he suffered or had he a hand in instructing themIT is possible for Mallam Yuguda to claim he was misquoted eventually, but could he have made a Frevdian slip by giving a voice to the covert and latent predilections amongst the northern elite concerning corps membersONE thing is certainly lacking in Mallam  Yuguda, a Freudian that is desperately needed in anybody  angling to be a leader; circumspection. And, it is a pity!
