It would be more beneficial if the positive advantage of this large number is preferred to its negative ones to resolve the challenges facing the corporation so as to ensure excellent service delivering and enhance a better image for the corporation,' he stated.Mr Oguntola also added that there was an understanding of the fact that provision of drinkable water in adequate quantity without compromising its quality is a key political index to measure the performance of any government and pleaded with the new board members to strive to ensure the success of the government of Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the existence of a sustainable corporation. Also addressing the new members, the chairman of the board, Professor Wale Oyemakinde, said, 'we are concerned with the service delivery of water in Oyo State, we know from the start that we are dealing with a resource that is in short supply even though the demand for it is limitless and increasing. We also know that the supply that is recognised to be inadequate could be progressively raised provided there is sufficient resolve to do so and bear the cost of our determination and dedication without looking back.'He added that 'prolonged neglect or scanty attention did much to make the situation what it is, as lamentation could neither bring improvement nor stem the tide of decay and despondency. Therefore, concrete measure must be put in place without delay and for much endurance.' Among the newly appointed board members were; Professor Wale Oyemakinde (chairman); Hon Dhiikirulai, Chief Biyi Akinyemi, Hon Hazzan Okumnade, Hon.
