Abdulahi hails MRI test on Eaglets

THE Minister/Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has heaped plaudits on the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for conducting the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests on prospective members of the U-17 National Team, Golden Eaglets.In a letter dated 25th July and signed by Mrs Amina O. Amanchi on behalf of the Minister, the Minister hailed the steps being taken by the NFF leadership led by Alhaji Aminu Maigari, to take Nigeria football to new heights.'I am directed to extend compliments of the Hon. Minister/Chairman and Top Management Staff of the National Sports Commission to your Office with the view of commending your dynamic efforts in ensuring that Football development gets back on track in our beloved country.'The National Sports Commission has applauded your quest of eradicating the lingering and embarrassing issue of overage players through the recent MRI examination conducted on the U17 Golden Eaglets Team.'No doubt, this unwholesome act has pervaded the Football industry for some time now and has affected the emergence of new and capable talented players.
