Alpari Group to deepen presence in Nigeria with more outlets

Published by Guardian on Sat, 07 May 2011

NIGERIAS economy may receive further boost in terms of investment, as Alpari Group- an Internet broker and foreign exchange (forex) dealer, plans to deepen its presence in the country. The group, which average monthly turnover was well over $140 billion, has already chosen Nigeria as the hub of its sub-Saharan African market. With offices in Lagos and Abuja, the company, operating under Alpari Trading West Africa, has finalised arrangements to open more outlets in Port Harcourt and Kano, to be able to make its services easily available to all.Disclosing this to participants at an interactive forum in Port Harcourt, last weekend, a Director of the company, Mr. Daniel Ademoh, noted that plans were on to have an outlet in Port Harcourt, to complement existing offices in Lagos and Abuja. The move, he said, was to ensure that more Nigerians have access to the companys services. He noted that a lot of people have been benefiting from free seminars on forex, which the company has been offering at its offices nationwide.Besides, Ademoh said newcomers are daily taken through several stages, including demo and live accounts. Participation in the demo, according to him, will help the beginners to master the nuances and peculiarities of trading in the forex market.Ademoh also disclosed that the company is making plans to open a standard school for forex trading in Nigeria, to bring its education and awareness closer to the people because a lot of people lose money ignorantly under the context of forex trading. In the nearest future, we are looking at creating more awareness and a standard school on forex in Nigeria.People lose money in forex, not because it is actually bad, but because the educational aspect was not there he said. The group also used the opportunity to launch a new product called the Percentage Allocation Management Module (PAMM) account, which provides traders and investors a convenient trading experience.
