SENATE President, David Mark, on Wednesday, charged security operatives to strengthen their strategies and brace up to face the challenges facing the nation.Mark noted that the worrisome security situation was becoming intolerable and called on all Nigerians to see it as a collective challenge that must be resolved.Speaking when he decorated the police outrider in his office, who was promoted to the post of assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Mr Isah Usman, Mark said 'all security operatives must, as a matter of necessity, work hard and cooperate to ensure security of lives and properties.'It is your collective efforts that would guarantee the security of the nation. Once we can achieve security in the country, there would be peace and when there is peace, there will be progress and development.'He noted that promotion is both an incentive and recognition of hard work and reiterated the need for public officers to justify their positions by putting the nation and people first.Mark described as unkind, the attack on the Zaria home of the vice-president, Alhaji Namadi Sambo and sympathised with him.
