Power supply will be stable soon - Sambo

Vice- PresidentNamadi Sambo,has said that the injection of 375 megawatts from the three out of the six turbines into the national grid in the next two months will improve electricity supply in the country.Sambo stated this while on a one-day inspection tour to the second phase of the Olorunsogo Power Plant in Ogun State on Thursday, noting that each of the turbines would produce 125 megawatts, as part of Federal Governments promise to deliver adequate and stable power supply.The vice-president, accompanied on the tour by the state governor, Chief Gbenga Daniel and the Minister of State for power, Mr Nuhu Wya, added that the completion of the second phase of the power project would improve the countrys economic development.He said the seriousness with which the project was being executed, was in consonance with the desire of President Goodluck Jonathan to change the power supply situation in the country for the better.He declared that President Jonathan would not fail the country, adding that their administration would continue to work according to their electoral promises.We are not resting on our oars. From what Ive seen here, Im extremely happy that two of the plants are already injecting power into the grid.This is the contract we have with Nigerians, we are continuing with our works, we shall not fail Nigerians Sambo said.The vice-president also expressed optimism that the few challenges confronting the project would be rectified to deliver power satisfactorily.
