CAF Champions League:Esperance gives Sunshine lifeline

NIGERIA's CAF Champions League representaives Sunshine Stars of Akure are eventually back in conention for a semi final ticket after round three matches were conncluded on Sunday eveningAlthough the Akure based side hammered visiting ASO Chlef of Algeria with two second half goals in Ijebu-Ode, it was Esperance Sportives' 1-0 win over rivals Etoile Du Sahel late Sunday evening that threw the semi final ticket in Group A open.Esperance's win over Etoile thanks to Khaled Mouelhi 42nd minutes spot earned the team the maximum nine points from three matches thus keeping its hold in the group while the defeat left Etoile with four points same as Sunshine Stars who will however, play host to the Tunisinas in the last match of the round robin matches.Sunshine Stars' next match is a visit to Algeria where they will square up with ASO Chlef in two weeks time while Etoile will welcome Esperance to Sousse.
