Dooshima Suswam seeks patronage of NIPOST

WIFE of Benue State governor, Mrs. Dooshima Suswam, has urged Nigerians to patronise the services rendered by the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).She, however, called on the management of the agency to continue to render quality and reliable services to the people.Mrs. Suswam, who gave the charge at the weekend while inaugurating the renovated General Post Office, Makurdi and its high-level branch office, said the agency had tremendously served Nigerians in the past and expressed optimism that the new NIPOST was better poised to render improved services to the people.'I urge the people of Benue State and every Nigerian to develop confidence in the new NIPOST, which has continued to remain the fastest, reliable and cheapest means of communication', she added.Mrs. Suswam, who is the chairperson, Wives of Northern Governors' Forum, further decried as detrimental the constant usage of text messages on hand-sets among individuals, noting that such act had crippled the art of letter-writing among the current generation.In his remark, the Postmaster-General, Ibrahim Mori Baba, said the renovation of the Makurdi General Post Office was part of the NIPOST policy to continue to win public confidence and patronage of its services and products.In a keynote speech, His Royal Highness, Ter Makurdi, Sule Abenga, attributed the developments that took place in the country from the nation's independence to date, to the establishment of post office.He urged members of the public to continue with the culture of using post office services.
