Olufon urges Muslims to imbibe Ramadan teachings

An Osun State traditional ruler, Oba Abdulmaroof Adekunle Magbagbeola, the Olufon of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom, has admonished Muslims to follow the five tenets of Islam during and after the Ramadan fasting period.Oba Magbagbeola said this in his palace while delivering his Ramadan message to his citizens in particular and the state in general over the weekend.The traditional ruler stressed further, "During the Ramadan period, Muslims should be faithful and abide by the tenets that guide them. This is in accordance with the rules and guidelines made by the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW) to follow at all times."The traditional ruler said further, "as a Muslims, this is the period to move nearer to Almighty Allah in order to cleanse our sins and be pure in all ramifications. That is, we should abstain from sins and worship the creator with all our hearts".Oba Magbagbeola therefore, called on all Muslims in the state to see the fasting period as one to know God the more and worship Him wholeheartedly in order to cleanse the land of all the attacks of Boko Haram and numerous attacks in the country.
