Election crisis: Fulani cry for help

The Mobgal FulbeDevelopment Association, a Fulani pastoralists group in Kaduna State, has called on the Federal and Kaduna State governments to  assist their people who were affected by the post election crisis.They said hundreds of Fulani nomads were displaced and needed   relief materials to survive.  The Secretary-General of the association, Ahmad Mairiga Yandeh, told Community News in Kaduna that  after taking stock of the destruction to lives and property, over two hundred thousand pastoralists were displaced and several others killed during the crisis.He said that the displaced people were scattered across Ladduga, Kagarko, Lere, Buruku and many other places within and outside the state.The concerned Fulani, therefore, urged Non Governmental Organisations NGOs and other well meaning people in the country to assist the displaced with drugs, foods clothes and other relief materials as most of them are dying of hunger due to lack of medicine in all the affected areas.Speaking further, he said those who perpetrated the barbaric act were still going about their normal life as they had not been arrested by the security agents.The association, however, appealed to the state and federal governments to arraign the culprits and prosecute them so as to serve as deterrence to others and prevent future occurrences.
