Victims of Epe fire disaster appeal to Fashola

It was lamentation galore on Tuesday whenfire destroyed a section of Ayetoro Market, Epe in Epe Local Government of Lagos State.Community News learnt that the fire broke  when a sales boy in one of the shops in the market was trying to fill a generating set with petrol. The generating set exploded and nearly all the shops in the electronics and textile sections of the market were destroyed.Community News learnt that fire fighters arrived the scene in time but they could not douse the fire. We contacted the fire brigade men and they responded in time, but the intensity of the fire was too much for them, Uche Sunday, a trader in the market told Community News.Community News learnt that most affected by the fire disaster were the Igbo traders who had just resumed selling after Easter celebrations. Meanwhile, when Community News got to the market, some of the people were trying to remove the debris of burnt items from their shops.Some of those who spoke with Community News appealed to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola to come to their aids. We are in serious wahala. I just bought some goods to replenish my stock after the elections. Now, all the goods I bought had been destroyed, one of the traders lamented.
