Kano Eze Ndigbo tasks Kwankwaso on security

Published by Tribune on Mon, 09 May 2011

THE Eze Ndigbo ofKano, Chief (Dr)Boniface Ibekwe, has called on the state governor-elect, Dr. Musa Kwankwaso, to focus his attention on the security aspect of the state so as to enable the state to regain its lost glory. This is just as Dr. Ibekwe charged the governor-elect to provide all necessary infrastructure that would enable investors to establish industries that would provide job opportunity for hundreds of jobless youths in the state. He made the call while speaking with Community News on Thursday in Kano, saying since God had made the former governor to come back to government he should justify the confidence reposed in him.Chief Ibekwe also called on Dr. Kwankwaso to ensure that his administration made sure that the Sharia legal system was strictly for the muslims. His words, the governor-elect should make sure that the Sharia legal system is for only muslims, and the way of life of christians should be tied to the apron  of christians.Ibekwe said many people gave their votes to the governor-elect because they observed that he possessed certain qualities that  could reposition the state for greater heights. He said that the residents of  Sabongari  would be happy if the governor-elect could rehabilitate some major roads in their areas, saying that if this was done, it would make the people  to hold him in high esteem.
