Oyo govt policy thrust meant to promote accountability

THE policy thrust of the current administration in Oyo State is to put the right people in the right position with a view to giving room for accountability and integrity.This was the submission of the state Commissioner for Information and National Orientation, Mr Bosun Oladele, while speaking at the roundtable interactive session organised by the League of Veteran Journalists, Oyo State council, at the Press Centre, Ibadan, on Wednesday.He said the government would continue to develop policy formulation and feedback so as to carry the government to the grass-root level.He averred that since the inception of the Governor Abiola Ajimoli-led administration, it had embarked on segmented administration and made the best use of the available resources at its disposal.He added that the administration had made significant impact on infrastructural development and that the state budget placed emphasis on capital projects.He said the administration embarked on youth empowerment scheme through the introduction of environmental cadets and Oyo State traffic management agency as part of its efforts to solve unemployment in the state and to bring back the lost glory of the state.Earlier, the chairman of the association, Alhaji Kola Animasaun, said the main thrust of the interactive session was to share views on issues relating to the nation as it was passing through a turbulent era.as Nigerians were uncomfortable over the fast deteriorating harmony with different tribes in recent times.
