WWE wasted little time bringing the Bullet Club together again. One week after Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson debuted on WWE programming, the duo pledged its allegiance to former New Japan Pro Wrestling stablemate AJ Styles in The Phenomenal One's upcoming title match against Roman Reigns. And then, this:Gallows and Anderson attacked Reigns in the middle of the ring on Monday night as a surprised Styles looked on. It was ideal storytelling by WWE, as moments before, the former Bullet Club brethren were celebrating their ascent in WWE.Following the attack, Styles told Reigns he had no part in the melee. It's probably true, as WWE is setting up the next bullet in its arsenal: the introduction of Balor Club. The Bullet Club was Finn Balor's group before anyone else's. While Styles led the organization until being ousted (kayfabe) by Kenny Omega earlier this year, Balor (then Prince Devitt) was the heavy hitter in NJPW's most powerful group.Since his introduction in NXT, some type of WWE-sanctioned Bullet Club group has been speculated and hoped for by diehard wrestling fans.Once WWE signed Styles, Gallows and Anderson, it was only a matter of time. There have been too many hints, too many teases over the last few months for WWE to throw a curveball. It's not like WWE hasn't been planning for these events to unfold.According to Weekly Pro Wrestling (via Japanese pro wrestling blogger Enuhito, h/t 411Mania), the company reportedly wanted to buy the Bullet Club trademark.Instead, WWE has moved forward with Bulletproof Balor Club for the NXT champion, a not-so-subtle nod to his Bullet Club roots. Balor, in fact, has been WWE's top marketer when it comes to bringing the former Bullet Club members back together. The biggest questions become, how does it happen, and when'First, Balor Club won't be making its way onto TV before this summer since Balor remains the NXT champion, and the next likely time he would drop that title is at the next NXT TakeOver event on June 8.Seeing as how WWE likes to make a splash, that could mean the Balor Club could make its official debut on the June 13 episode of Rawone week before WWE heads to Las Vegas for Money in the Bank. It's entirely possible that Balor Club is introduced at that event as well.In the meantime, WWE needs to continue showcasing the group's potential. Keeping the trio of Styles, Gallows and Anderson in the main event scene, even teasing dissension among the friends, is a good angle. It keeps their origins in the back of everyone's minds while keeping current drama in the forefront. It could result in Styles losing his WWE title match at Payback to Reigns, with Styles feuding with Gallows and Anderson.Maybe the first version of Balor Club doesn't include Styles, and it's revealed the former NXT champion has been directing the former NJPW tag team champions from behind the scenes. If that's WWE's play, it shouldn't last long. What made the Bullet Club so unique and beloved was its dominance. A fully formed Balor Club, which would include Balor, Styles, Gallows and Anderson, would be WWE's best optionthe closest thing to the nWo of WCW's heyday. As Donald Wood of Forbes recently wrote: "The WWE version of the Bullet Club would still draw the ire of casual fans that love the babyfaces being regularly attacked and gain popularity with the hardcore fans looking for a fundamental change in wrestling's current heel-vs.-face dynamic."Bullet Club reigned as titleholders in NJPW, the same role it should take on as Balor Club in WWE. Gallows and Anderson as tag team champions. Styles as intercontinental champion. Balor as WWE champion. It would make sense for another Superstar (Kevin Owens, anyone') to reign as the United States champ. The group, at some early point in its inception, should hold all the titles, maybe even the Women's Championshipan ideal landing place for Becky Lynch, as she's been pushed aside in favor of Sasha Banks, Charlotte and even Natalya. The Balor Club is coming. It's not a matter of if but when. And WWE will be all the better for it.
