ABU Alumni Rallies Members For Devt Of Institution

The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Alumni Association, is rallying old graduands of the institution so as to evolve strategic developmental plans that would upgrade the learning, teaching and research environment of the institution.The association through interaction with old members also plans to install state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities in the university that it claimed, has given so much to its graduands.This was disclosed yesterday in Abuja by the president of the ABU Alumni Association, Dr Ahmed Tijjani Mora, in a press briefing to flag-off its Lecture and Dinner Award Night scheduled for 23rd of April, 2016. Towards this end, he said given the importance of ICT to national and global development, the alumni association was working on modalities to provide one laptop each for every student of the institution.It is our belief that the numerous and illustrious graduands of the university can put both human and capital resources to enhance their contributions to the development of ABU, especially at this trying times.According to Mora, who was the registrar of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), the Lecture and Dinner/Award Night is to bring the ABU family together for a reunion that provides a forum to express its solidarity and commitment to sustaining and enhancing the legacies of Ahmadu Bello University, particularly that of the unity of Nigeria as canvassed and exemplified by its founding fathers.In addition, he said the staging of the event will provide an opportunity to showcase the high caliber of individuals that ABU has produced which cannot be surpassed by any other institution of its type in Nigeria.The alumni president added that the first component of the forthcoming event which is the lecture series with the topic, Managing the Dynamics of Ethno-Religious Politics for Sustainable National Integration and Development in Nigeria, which is to be delivered by Ambassador Ibrahim Gambari, is part of the associations contribution to the developmental initiatives of the federal government.The post ABU Alumni Rallies Members For Devt Of Institution appeared first on Nigerian News from Leadership News.
