Even though WWE is suggesting a new era under Shane McMahon, who has run Raw for three weeks, there will still be moments at May 1's Payback pay-per-view which will cause controversy with fans. The card does indeed look refreshing and hints at a bold new period for the company in which it puts its trust in younger talent. But aside from all the good we're expecting to come out of Payback, here are three potentially controversial bouts that will leave fans uneasy at what they've seen. The Miz vs. CesaroFans will be hoping a push for Cesaro finally comes to fruition and that he wins the Intercontinental Championship at Payback.Zack Ryder's mini-push has completely disappeared, so the one true babyface who has a chance of taking the title from The Miz is Cesaro. However, fans will inevitably be left disappointed, as The Miz is likely to retain, with WWE unlikely to take the belt from him after just a few weeks. With Maryse by his side, there will no doubt be an element of controversy with the ending, too. That would at least give Cesaro a platform for his comeback, but he doesn't look likely to be the one with the championship when Payback comes to a close. That will leave WWE fans frustrated and annoyed.Enzo and Cass vs. The VaudevillainsIt's hard to think of a tag team that has made a greater impact in a shorter time than Enzo and Cass. The NXT graduates look like they have the full package and are already hugely over with the company's fans.A win at Payback seems inevitable as they move closer to a shot at the tag titles, but fans will have to wait a while longer to see Amore and Cassady with the straps.Expect controversy when they're no doubt screwed out of the match by The Dudley Boyz. Their rivalry doesn't quite feel over yet, so Bubba Ray and D-Von will surely end up costing Enzo and Cass a shot at the tag titles. And in the grand scheme of things, that would make sense. If Enzo and Cass won, it would mean WWE's two most over tag teams, Enzo and Cass and The New Day, locking horns. If WWE is serious about building The Vaudevillains as a credible tag team, they should go over here, much to the disappointment of Enzo and Cass' army of fans.Roman Reigns vs. AJ StylesThe confusion regarding AJ Styles' alliance with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows has many WWE fans hoping and dreaming of a Bullet Club reunion at Payback. However, the more likely scenario is that Styles will come out of Payback with nothing, as Roman Reigns continues on as WWE world heavyweight champion. Why will there be controversy' It's hard to see Reigns being screwed, in truth. WWE won't do that to its top guy just weeks after winning the WrestleMania main event, so expect Roman to roll on right through to at least SummerSlam with the strap. The other way there could be controversy is if WWE pulls a monumental swerve and has Gallows and Anderson beat down Styles. Why would it do this' Well, it would keep Styles very much a babyfaceand could potentially keep the door open for Finn Balor (as head of The Balor Club) vs. Styles in the months to come. But whatever happens, Reigns will leave Payback with the title and look as strong as ever. And that's bound to be controversial in the eyes of WWE fans.
