What is at stake if you stay or leave

Ngozi is a mother of five who left her husbands house after eleven years of marriage. She felt she could not go on with his incessant assaults.  She decided to move on with life without him and took along some of their children. Many married women, though miserable in marriage, prefer to remain in it for the sake of their offspring. Many people will be quick to judge Ngozi negatively because she left her kids.
