It was mind blowing to people and they were like, why didn't you come all these while. I flew to Atlanta just to get my Nigerian passport. Coming to Mbiaya for the first time was a wonderful experience, especially the rich culture of the people. It was wonderful seeing my family name on the street signpost and my grandparents' pictures in the family house and the letter he wrote when my baby sister was born.First movie producedIt's a series called Afro-Arabia Maids. It's basically a two-woman show I wrote and produced.First major break Equinox; it's about two young adults falling in love and finding their way. It wasn't a lead role. However, in movie, it's not about the size of the role but the impact you create with the opportunity you have. So, Equinox, gave me a chance to showcase my talent and skill.First time on the runwayIt was in Barbados, during one Caribbean fashion show. It was a very exciting experience having rehearsed ' walked and choreographed ' for sometime. I almost fell while walking the runway because there was so much attention paid to the camera 'television and photographs. However, the self-confidence that we have been imbued with helped me. It was good job and I was happy being a part of it. On the runway, it is all about your personal flair and sense of who you are. One thing I learned from the show was that the Caribbeans don't joke with their dance. First Nigeria food tasted Fufu and Afang soup; it was prepared by my father when I was a kid. But coming home for the first time, my aunty prepared Ekpankukwo, Edikaikon with Isam (periwinkle). The snails in America are not like the ones in Nigeria, they are like insects. First fashion piece boughtAs a young girl on the cusp of womanhood, you always want to standout and look sassy with your stuffs. So, I remember buying a big red hat when I was 15; though I was yet to know my sense of style. First thing that comes to mind when dressing upFor me, it's about my mood and how I feel in the morning. I love being bold with what I'm wearing. When I'm in America, I love wearing my Nigerian dress and that's bold. That makes me who I'm.First colour choiceI love bold and striking colours. I love putting on colours that make me strong and powerful. I love orange but do more of blue because it's bright. When you think about blue, your thought goes to the ocean and sky.First choice holiday spotI love the Caribbean because it reminds me of Africa and it's tropical. I love the Islands more because there are less people around and you are away from expectations. What's the first thing that attract you to peopleI love people who embrace life with enthusiasm and are good in communication. I hate people who are pushy, cheat and lack self-confidence.
