Published by Guardian on Wed, 22 Aug 2012

KANO Pillars' coach, Baba Ganaru, is certain that Lobi Stars cannot stop his club's dream of lifting the Federation Cup this year.Ganaru told The Guardian yesterday that they were ready for the Makurdi team for today's semi-final tie at the U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.'We know that for us to play in the final of the Federation Cup in Lagos, we need to overcome Lobi Stars in the semi-final, and we are confident of achieving our dream,' he said. 'We are aware of the quality of Lobi and are sure that the encounter will be interesting and Insha Allah we will come out victorious in the match.'The Pillars handler added that having enjoyed massive support from the Lagos fans during the group stage of the championship, they desire to return to the city to lift the trophy. He added: 'I know Lagos fans really supported us during the group match and it will be good for us to return to the city to finish up and lift the trophy come Sunday.'One thing synonymous with Lagos fans is that they support the best team regardless of its state of origin and this we have known as we look forward to playing in the final of the Federation Cup this Sunday. There is no doubt that the match against Lobi will be explosive and my boys are ready to claim the victory.'Aside confronting each other in the semi-final of the Federation Cup, Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars are aiming for the Premier League title with few matches left in the 2011/2012 league season.
