S/West governors, others storm Ibadan for MKO

THE Wallan II hall of the Wallan Hotels (formerly D'Rovans Hotel) Ibadan will today play host to a public lecture to commemorate the 75th birthday of the late Nigeria's Pillar of Sports, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (MKO).Organised by the Sports Writers' Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State chapter, the event which is slated to begin at 11.00am with former President, SWAN, Chief Fan Ndubuoke expected to deliver the lecture titled, 'Sports Philantrophy, The MKO definition.'Expected at the event under the chairmanship of Senator Jide Omoworare, Member, Senate Committe on Sports are dignitaries including governors of Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti states.Chairman Oyo SWAN, Mr Seun Ajayi-Obe said the event is being put in place to honour the late MKO Abiola who during his lifetime spread his tentacles across the country, touching lives with his philantropic gestures which are yet to be equalled.
