ABS will remain inPremier League, says team manager

Published by Guardian on Mon, 03 Sep 2012

ABUBAKAR Bukola Saraki (ABS) team manager, Alloy Chukwuemeka, has assured supporters of the team that they would beat Ocean Boys to remain in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) next season.ABS is rooted on 49 points and would need a big win against Ocean Boys to avoid relegation at the end of the season. Chukwuemeka told Goal.com: 'ABS will not be relegated at the end of the season. We are preparing very well against Ocean Boys and we need to win well against the Yenagoa side.'Our present position on the table is not good for us because I believe that we are one of the best teams in the Nigerian Premier League. We play one of the best brands of football in the league and it won't be good that we are relegated.'With a good win against Ocean Boys, I am sure we will not join other clubs fighting to escape relegation. We are not going to take chances against Ocean Boys.'Every club is doing its best to survive and we cannot allow complacency to set in at this time of the season. We are playing our game against Ocean Boys at the University of Ilorin pitch. This is because Kwara United is also playing at home against Shooting Stars in Ilorin.'The Nigeria Premier League has said that all matches would be played the same day and also start the same time. So we have to move to the University of Ilorin pitch. Our supporters will smile at the end of the season.'ABS is 15th on the NPL table with 49 points.
