I asked about how the company decided which products to begin marketing beyond the razors that helped build it. He told meGrooming starts in the shower, not after the shower, and since Dollar Shave Club aims to alleviate all the grooming ailsguys have, shower products were a natural progression in the growth of the business.The brand has done well since branching out beyond razors; over 40% of DSC's monthly razor subscribers already order products outside the realm of shaving from the company, and Mourad only expects that number to grow with the release of Wanderer. Mourad also mentionedthat now that Dollar Shave Club has such a diverse range of products, you don't have to be a monthly member to order from this new line. "Say you're a guy that never shaves but, you want to try out our body wash. You can go to the site, order it, we'll ship it to you. That's it.""The Wanderer line is named after the peaceful existence many guys experience in the shower," says Mourad, "One of the things we heard from our customers is that his shower is his alone time. It's his 15 minutes where he has no phone, no email, no kids. It's the time where he gets to relax and let his mind wander." The mint and cedarwood Awakening aims to brighten up the start of a day, and the amber and lavender Calming is perfect for after a long shift on the clock. My Awakening bar lived up to its name, as the notes of mint and cedar wood definitely gave me a pleasant jolt in the morning when they hit my nose.Wanderer Awakening Body Bars with Mint and Cedarwood (2-Pack), $7.50.Wanderer Calming Body Bars with Amber and Lavender (2-Pack), $7.50.Body cleansersWhile I enjoyed the body bars, I am personally a regular user of body wash, so these Wanderer products were the most immediately appealing to me. They carry the same two scents as the body bars, but the fragrance seemed to stay with me a bit longer than while using the body bars, which I saw as a bit of a perk. I found both bottles, Awakening especially, preferable to my usual choices in body wash.Wanderer Awakening Body Cleanser with Mint and Cedarwood, $9.50.Wanderer Calming Body Cleanser with Amber and Lavender, $9.50.Face cleansersThe daily face cleanser from Dollar Shave Club was a product I enjoyed as well, although in the interest of full disclosure, I am not a regular user of facial soaps and thus have little to compare the experience to. With that said, my face did feel fresh after using the product, and it was a feeling that lasted well throughout the day.
