Real Madrid will hope to continue their historical dominance of rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday as the two teams meet in the UEFA Champions League final at San Siro in Milanfor a rematch two years in the making.Back in 2014, Real scored a last-minute equaliser to snatch the title from Atleticoin extra time for the 2013-14 season, finally winning La Decima after more than a decade of waiting.Few teams have played each other more in recent years than these two rivals from the Spanish capital; they also met in the 2014-15 Champions League and in last year's Copa del Rey. And while Real historically hold the advantage, they've beaten the Rojiblancos just once since the 2014 Champions League final.Here's a look at the head-to-head record for these two teams, courtesy of Footballzz.com:The Madrid derby has a rich history, both on and off the pitch, which FourFourTwo's Richard Ballout does an excellent job of explaining. But the historic rivalry between both clubs has long been relatively one-sided, as evidenced by the head-to-head record.Real are one of the most successful clubs in the sport and have a winning record against most teams, but their record against Atletico is particularly impressive. In the Champions League, they've lost just one of six.Recent history paints a different picture, however.
