NAFDAC charges corps members on fake drugs

THE National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Cross River State is to use youth corps members in the fight against fake drugs.NAFDAC coordinator in Cross River Sate; an Assistant Director Mr. Kayode Fagboyo, charged NAFDAC /NYSC Community Development Service (CDS) group to use their wide outreach to disseminate NAFDAC messages against fake and counterfeit products to the rural populace.Fagboyo who spoke in Calabar during the inauguration of the CDS group, urged corps members to carry out public enlightenment campaigns in schools, hospitals, market places and community centres on what to watch out for before paying for any regulated products.He said that such information include: 'manufacturer's name, batch number, expiry/best before date, NAFDAC registration number and changes in physical characteristics of the product.
