N14m on offer at Lagos Inter-Local Govt football

THE sponsor of the forthcoming Lagos Inter-Local Government Football Championship tagged Extra -Joss football Championship: Kalbe International has announced a budget of 14million naira for the championship billed to commence on September 29 at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium.The Championship being put together by the ministry of Sports in conjunction with Orange Drugs Limited has thirty two teams from all the six zones of the state fighting for honour.Speaking at the media briefing heralding the maiden edition of the championship, Mr Didik Novandi, the Country Manager, Kalbe International explained that the championship is aimed at promoting grassroot football and to give the youth a sense of belonging and that the company is committed to sports development as its own contribution to compliment the state government effort in sports development.The commissioner for sports, Enitan Oshodi while at the briefing Thursday pledged the government support to the championship and assured of adequate security arrangement during the matches.The championship coordinator, Ola Uthman Okunnu informed that the draws for championship will hold at Teslim Balogun on September 26 while the kick off date is, September 27th and the final fixed for October 27 and that registration for teams closes on the September 24.
