This little power strip is one of the best travel gadgets you can buy

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships so we may get a share of the revenue from your purchase. You probably dont think too much about your power strip. Its a thing, you plug stuff into it, and that'senough for most people. Your everyday strip isnt without its inconveniences, though, particularly if youd like to move it around. Its that issue that the PowerCube can, at least in part, help rectify. It packs fouror five, depending on which model you buyoutlets into a tiny, 2.5-inch cube, making the whole thing noticeably more compact than ausual brick. Theres a pair of USB ports on this particular model, too, letting you directly recharge any smart device.Again, this is a power strip, so theres not too much to say here. Its cute, its cleverly designed, and it mostly works fine. It makes it so no plug is blocked off. There are a few variants available, including a ReWireable model that supports common international outlets, and a handful of Extended models that have a five or ten foot extension cord attached. Its worth noting, however, that theres no surge protection here. There is a resettable fuse, but youll want to be careful not to push too much power (about 15 amps) at once. Those two USB ports are also a little too close together for our liking, so theres at least some chance you wont be able to fit two plugs in there simultaneously.Nevertheless, if you need a way of plugging multiple things in on the go, there is obvious utility here. PowerCube Original USB Power Strip (Green), $13.99, available at Amazon.READ THIS:This simple accessory will make your laptop more usefulSEE ALSO:A handy feature makes this iPhone case one of the most interesting on the marketDON'T MISS:7 car gadgets that'll make driving so much easierJoin the conversation about this story
