Youths Pass Vote Of No Confidence On NASS Representatives

SOUTHERN Kaduna youths under the umbrella of Gurara Patriot Foundation (TGPF), at the weekend, passed a vote of no confidence on legislators representing six federal constituencies and a senatorial district, vowing to pursue their recall.While addressing a press conference, President of the group, Mr. Vincent Bodam, flanked by Secretary, Jerry Adams, said the no confidence vote became necessary since the legislators, from the Southern Kaduna zone, have become insensitive to socio-economic development of the region.Bodam explained that the group wrote letters to the lawmakers to draw their attention to the absence of federal establishments and other people-oriented projects in the area, but that the lawmakers ignored their demands.He stressed that after warning the legislators on the consequence of neglecting voters under whose platform they won their tickets, the people have no option but pass the vote of no confidence.Bodam said: 'We are already talking to people at the grassroots that if they don't get things expected from representatives at the National Assembly, then re-election in 2015 will be tough for the lawmakers. We are already creating awareness among our people on recalling them from the National Assembly.
