Bello-Osagie, others celebrate United World Colleges at 50

CORPORATE business guru, Hakeem Bello-Osagie, Akintola Williams, Prof. Isabelle Okagbue, Yvonne Ebbi and other Nigerians will join their counterparts the world over as United World Colleges (UWC) celebrates 50 years of providing global education for students around the globe.While addressing the media in Lagos on Monday, Bello-Osagie, who was among the second set of Nigerians to be admitted into the school in 1973 for the International Baccalaureate certificate, said the global institution with 12 colleges in different parts of the world, provided opportunities to Nigerian students and their parents to contribute to the nation's greatness.As the Chairman of National Committee of NWC Nigeria, Bello-Osagie stated that the celebration in Nigeria, which would include a dinner on Friday at The Civic Centre, Lagos, would be used to sensitise Nigerians on the benefits the unique global education UWC provides.Among the aims of UWC's global education, he noted, were to help students from different nations, races and religions overcome hostility and conflicts and learn from one another about their cultures.
