More transfer rumours linking Arsenal with Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko have emerged, with the latest reports claiming Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in the Frenchman. Meanwhile, youngster Samuel Chukwueze, who was said to have agreed to a deal with the Gunners, has changed his mind and is now expected to join FC Porto.According to L'Equipe (h/t Daily Express' David Wright), Chelsea and Liverpool are eyeing a move for Sissoko, who has long been linked with the Gunners and talked up a move to the Emirates earlier this month in an interview with Foot Mercato.Per the report, Newcastle will hold out for at least 20 million for their star midfielder, and according to the Sunderland Echo, Magpies manager Rafa Benitez will sit down with the 26-year-old to see if he can convince him to stay.He likely won't be successful, as Sissoko has been talking about a move to a top club for some time now. The midfielder has never made a secret of his desire to play UEFA Champions League football, but per Chris Waugh of the Chronicle, he might find it difficult to leverage a move:Sissoko is too good to play in the Championship, but after an inconsistent 2015-16 campaign with Newcastle, top clubs might be less willing to invest in his services than they were a year ago.The links with Arsenal made sense when manager Arsene Wenger was desperate to add some muscle to his midfield, but the emergence of Francis Coquelin and signing of Granit Xhaka have made such a move less of a priority. The reported fee of 20 million is high for a backup, and right now, Sissoko would be little more than that for Arsenal. Tom Davidson of theDaily Post Wales doesn't think he has what it takes to make it at the Emirates:Depth has been an issue for the Gunners in recent years, however, and Wenger could decide to invest in another proven Premier League performer. While Sissoko wasn't at his best last season, he has a solid track record in England's top division, and he's still just 26 years old.But there are other options available, and Wenger seems more likely to save his money to address a true position of need. Sissoko will probably leave Newcastle this summer, but it's hard to imagine a scenario in which Arsenal pay 20 million or more to bring him to north London.Elsewhere, Diamond Football Academy president Martin Apugo has told All Nigeria Soccer(via Metro'sJames Goldman)Chukwueze is on the verge of joining Porto, despite persistent rumours he had previously agreed to join compatriot Alex Iwobi at the Emirates.Kelechi Nwakali, who also played for Diamond Football Academy, joined the Gunners earlier this year, and Chukwueze was widely expected to follow suit. The teenager was also linked with AS Monaco, but almost everyone assumed he was on his way to Arsenal. As shown in this video from ArsenalFan TV, he even posed with Wenger when he visited the club during the winter transfer window:Per Alec Shilton of the Sun, Apugo was convinced the 17-year-old would join Arsenal as recently as two months ago, when he claimed he would start training with the team soon, but he also admitted he wanted him to go somewhere else.Chukwueze was a key member of Nigeria's under-17 World Cup-winning squad, where he played in support of star striker Victor Osimhen, who rejected Arsenal to join Wolfsburg, per BBC Sport's Oluwashina Okeleji.Porto have a sterling reputation for developing players in their late teens and selling them on to some of the world's top clubs for massive transfer fees, and given the Gunners' struggles with their own prospects in recent years, it's perhaps understandable Chukwueze opted for a different route.
