Okorocha lays foundation stone of 5,000 housing units

GOVERNOR Rochas Okorocha of Imo State at the weekend laid the foundation stone for 5,000 Diaspora Village Housing Units. The event took place at Azara, Obiato, Mbaitoli Local Council of Imo State.According to the governor, the houses to be built in partnership with Imo persons residing in other countries would be fitted with facilities comparable to those in other advanced countries, urging the hosting communities to guarantee the security of those who would reside there.Describing the project as enormous, Okorocha warned that anywhere kidnapping was recorded around the vicinity would lead to the state government confiscating its property .The state chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Sam Ohiri, Chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers in Mbaitoli Local Council, Eze Peter Opkara, the member representing Mbaitoli in the Imo House of Assembly, Chief Victor Ndunagu, expressed the gratitude of the community for putting the housing project in the area.
