Primate Aluko urges rich Nigerians to emulate Adenuga on community development

Published by Tribune on Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Nigerians, especially those that are rich, have been advised to contribute their quota to the development of their communities so that poverty could be reduced to the bearest minimum. The Founder and Spiritual Head, The Saviour's Ministries Worldwide Cherubim and Seraphim, Ago-Igbala, Baba Aladura (Primate) Solomon Adeniran Aluko, gave this advice in a press release made available to Community News.According to Primate Aluko, the rich in the society should emulate the philantropic gesture of Dr Mike Adenuga, who has been contributing to the economic development of the country as well as empowering many youths through provision of jobs for them, stressing that the Globacom Chief Executive has erased poverty and wiped away tears from the faces of many Nigerians. The cleric further posited that honouring Mike Adenuga with the prestigious National Ward of Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) by President Goodluck Jonathan, attested to the immense and tireless contributions of Chief Adenuga to national growth and economic emancipation.'We can see that no single Nigerian, both home and abroad had spoken against the national award bestowed on the business mogul. That is why it is good to constribute to the development of human resources, develop the society through employment oppurtunities, development of sports as well as provision of basic physical infrastructures for Nigerians' use,' he added.Primate Aluko also stressed the need to pray for the country in crucial time like this, adding that people should not only assist President Goodluck Jonathan, they should also be praying for him so that he can pivot the affairs of the nation effectively.'Critics of the federal, state and local government administrations should be objective, constructive and fair in their comments, assessments and suggestions,' he pleaded.
