UBA restates commitment to sports development with Nigeria Cup

THE United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has restated its commitment to sports development by sponsoring the National Day Golf Tournament, otherwise known as the Nigeria Cup.The annual golf tourney is held at the Ikoyi Club 1938 in celebration of Nigeria's Independence anniversary. According to the UBA Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Phillips Oduoza, 'UBA has traditionally supported the hosting of this competition and continues to play a pivotal role in the promotion of the game of golf in Nigeria.'This is because golf, apart from being a professional and recreational sport, provides a platform for networking and socialising.
