Police seek cooperation of Ogun communities

The Ogun State Police Command has solicited for the support of residents of communities in Sagamu and its environs in its efforts at combating crimes in the area, especially on Lagos/ Sagamu/Ibadan; and Lagos/ Sagamu/ Ore axis.Spokesperson of the command, ASP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated this while speaking on the efforts of the state police command to keep robbers and criminals at bay.He stated that policemen under the command recently killed two suspected robbers while trying to rob one Mustapha of Anjara village, on the long bridge, on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.He explained that some people in the area had alerted men of Ibafo Police Division of the activities of the suspected robbers and the police quickly raced down to the area. The three robbers, on sighting the police, opened fire on them and the police replied and in the process, two of the robbers were gunned down.The PPRO stated that the feat was made possible because of the cooperation of the people who gave infomation to the police.He explained that the efforts of the state command at ensuring that Ogun State was made uncomfortable for robbers and criminals can only be achieved through the cooperation of the people.
