Sulaimon gets Kogi Utd job

Kogi state government has appointed former Flying Eagles cordinator Ahmed Suleiman (Ajakpo) as the Team Manager of the Kogi United Football Club of Lokoja. Announcing this at the weekend, the government gave the new manager the task of gaining promotion to the elite division of the league. Confirming this in an intrview, the former U-17 and U-20 coordinator said that task is a Herculean one, but very insurmountable. He promised to bring his experience in the game into ensuring that Kogi state gets a Premiership club at the end of season.Ajakpo as he is fondly called, was the Coordinator of the National U-17 team (Golden Eaglets) in 2009 when they won the silver medals. He was elevated to the U- 20 team that played at the U-20 World cup in Egypt . He also Coordinated the team led by John Obu to win the Africa Youth Championship in South Africa, and got to the quarter finals of the U-20 World cup in Colombia last year.
