Military Truck Crushes Tricyclist, 3 Others In Bayelsa

A commercial tricyclist popularly known as Keke Napepe driver and his three passengers were on Saturday crushed by a military armoured truck in a fatal accident in Bayelsa State.The driver and his passengers however did not die but sustained injuries in the head and other parts of their bodies.LEADERSHIP gathered that the accident,which occurred on Saturday along the Melford Okilo road opposite Best Buy supermarket caused panic with onlookers blaming the alleged reckless driving of the driver.According to an eyewitness, who is a petty trader close to the junction, the accident happened within a twinkle of an eye: I dont even know how to explain what happened, it was so fast, all I saw was the keke entering the road and a loud sound, and the keke was compressed with its passengers on the floor.
